Is the product only for cleaning ovens?
K2r cleans ovens, grills, tiles, chromium steel fittings, deep fat fryers, microwave ovens, pots and pans, baking trays, extractor hoods and glass surfaces.

 

After the product has been applied, the oven smells very strongly as it heats up. Why is that and what can I do to stop it?
It is possible that the foam has not been fully removed, or that some has got into the ventilator opening. Wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth once again.

 

The product does not seem to work.
For stubborn stains, repeated treatment may be necessary. Just repeat the application and leave it for longer, preferably overnight.

 

Where should the product not be used?
On painted surfaces, plastic and aluminium parts.

 

The cleaned object has tarnished, why is that?
The object is made from aluminium and aluminium tarnishes. A sure sign for this is that it becomes "dark". It loses its characteristic shine. Read the warning on the can.   Tarnished objects can be re-used without any problems.

Should detergent also be added to the colour run remover?
Never use colour run remover together with detergent or fabric softener!

 

The colour run remover has no effect even after several attempts. Why does the discolouration not come out?
Some discolouration may be due to so-called "Indanthrone discolouration". With this type of discolouration, the colour is permanently transferred into the fabric due to the nature of the dye. This discolouration cannot be removed with any commercial colour run remover. This applies to special vat dyes for jeans for example. The colour shades indigo (blue) and red are also characteristic.

 

Why can you not decolourize fabrics made from polyester?
Polyester is a synthetic fibre which cannot be decolourized with any commercial colour run remover.

 

Can discoloured coloured washing be decolourized using K2r colour run remover?
Generally, yes.  Check for colourfastness of discoloured coloured washing before using colour run remover. No colour run remover differentiates between the original colour and the discolouration.

 

Can colour run remover be used with wool and silk?
It is only recommended for pure new wool. Wool types such as angora, mohair, cashmere, etc. are very delicate. There is the risk that the fabric would become brittle and/or that it would lose its softness. With silk, care should be taken that the maximum permitted temperature for the fabric is not exceeded.

 

Can colour run remover attack metal parts such as zips?
No, the colour run remover contains a rust-protection formula.

Are these products a kind of detergent?
No, both products are laundry aids which are added to the normal detergent.

 

How much of the product is recommended per wash load?
2 capfuls are recommended per wash load. 3 capfuls of K2r coloured fabric are recommended for fabrics where the colour has recently or strongly bled.

 

What is the advantage of K2r coloured fabric?
K2r coloured fabric removes the need to separate washing by colour. White and coloured fabric can be washed together. Particularly suitable for striped or layer shirts.
